Upscale Dining
If you're familiar with the address on this ad you might recognize that it's in the same building that became a very popular restaurant called Bogens. Bogens has since vacated the premises and the new joint is just called 622 North Main, I believe.
The Possibility was a pretty posh place serving French cuisine at upscale prices too. This is where I had my first taste (and last) of snails.

Anybody remember The Sewer? subway type sandwich shop? down behind the theater in an alley and down below street level.
ReplyDeleteI was a hostess there
DeleteJust posted that one yesterday, kiwibird .... take a look !!
ReplyDeleteGarth Larcen, one of the group who owned and ran the Sewer, was the owner of the Possibility.
ReplyDeleteHis wife worked at 117 for awhile.
ReplyDeleteSome where I have a t-shirt from the Ooh La La Lounge, the bar at the Pos', with specials like D student night ... bring in a paper with D grade and get a free drink.
ReplyDeleteThe Phi Kappa Sigma house was next door at 620 N Main and the Pi Kappa Alpha house was at 618 N Main. Phi Kaps had awesome Wednesday nite Hump Parties and the PKAs were Friday nite - the restaurant hated us...
